The 43 × 33 cm sheet on vellum paper will be pressed in 1979 by Studio d'Arte Perna, Milan.
Work numbered 70 out of 200 copies (LXX / CC) with certificate and notarial documents from the publisher.
“Chinese fish” - Collection of the Matisse museum - Made in cut-out paper and gouache, as part of the emblematic Jazz series for Tériade editions, among the last works of Henri Matisse.
The work is represented on glass in the form of a stained glass window in Henri Matisse's house in Saint Jean-Cap-Ferrat (see last photograph).
Jazz paved the way for a synthetic technique in which color was at the same time form, contour, surface, density, depth and movement. “Instead of drawing the outline and installing the color there – one modifying the other – I draw directly in the color which is all the more measured as it is not transposed. This simplification guarantees precision in the combination of the two means which now become one” explained Henri Matisse in 1951.

The work is available for delivery to the address of your choice within 1 to 2 weeks after validation of your order. The work is insured during transport , so there is no risk for you. We work with general and specialized carriers depending on the work ordered.
For the purchase of a work outside the European Union customs fees may apply (customs fees are the responsibility of the purchaser).
You can have it delivered to the address of your choice. Attention, you must be present during the delivery, or failing that, someone you trust will have to be present to represent you.
Return costs are free and we will reimburse you in full. The withdrawal period is 14 days from the delivery of your work (proof of delivery from the carrier serving as proof).
The work must be returned in perfect condition and in its original packaging.
